Swimming with Pros
Just a clarification on the title. It's not so much swimming "with" pros as it is showing up to the same workout. Apparently, Mitch Anderson (10th at IM Hawaii 2004, 3rd at IM Oz 2005) is a member of the Melbourne Uni tri club. By my estimation, Mitch and I swim at the same speed ... when he is doing 1-arm drill.
Hetti, I haven't heard the term "cozzie" before .. they usually call them "bathers".

Swimmng, I seem to remeber doing that at one point.... Oh boy is it going to hurt when I get back in the pool. The cool news is that we're now a 20 minute bike to the largest lake in Indiana, and it is definitely swimmable, and the ride is pretty scenic in itself.
So Mark, I would actually think that biking on the wrong side of the road is worse than driving. It is the case?

So do they get their own lane, or do they just swim over you? I guess that if they just swim over you, it could be considered practice for the mass start. That cliff bar commercial still makes me laugh.

Briana: LOL! No, but thanks for the laugh. No, it is lake Monroe, it is actually quite nice. I finally did find one of the quarries, but it is still in service, so I guess you can't go swimming in it.
Besides, that's where those mean college students, hang out, and who would want to go there...
Just have to get me a cutter jersey now, and start asking everyone "How y'all doing"

Steve, how are the new digs?

The more important question to ask Steve is "How is the new lawn?".
Glad to hear that you are having fun with the Melbourne Club - you are going to be speedier than ever after swiming and cycling with the fast Aussies.

Mark, the new house is great, and we're slowly getting moved in. Went out with the Bloomington Bicylce club on the weekend, it was great, although I quickly found out that 75km of hills is really a lot tougher than 75km flat. If I keep cycling with them though, I expect I'll be a little stronger by the end of the summer.
The new lawn is coming in. If I had the spare time, I would set up a lawn-cam, but I don't think it's going to happen.
Briana: My supervisor has a draft of the thesis, and I'm waiting for him to finish reading it, and giving me comments on the last chapter. Hopefully this step will progress quite quickly.
