Wow! That is disturbing! I like the song tho... They have the similar issues here with speeding and there are several ads targetting this now. Roads here are narrow (many have single lane bridges even) and lack shoulders in a lot of cases....and they certainly don't get much opportunity to be straight with ocean, rivers and mountains everywhere.
Agreed. I think it's important to get this message out (the only context you are missing is the obsession with giving the number of fatalities on Victorian roads ... hence the 'hidden toll' reference ... but other than that not much), but it would be VERY useful to know what is the cause or at least the contributors. Certainly, they must have information on whether speed, aggressive driving, alcohol, etc. is involved.
ewwies. that commercial is absolutely awful. but, what's the "right" number of deaths? i mean, there's an inherent risk in driving, so everytime when you buckle up / drive the speed limit, you're absorbing that risk.
anyway, maybe the onus of the deaths *isn't* on the driver. heck, maybe it's due to the large potholes lying around.
