It's not about the bike ...
So, awhile ago there was a request to see the new bike and I mentioned I had a few in the works.
So, here is the leader. Ferrari red. 700s.

Here is the one I'm strongly considering buying. The downside is that the guy in the club who wants to sell it, wants to sell it with those wheels, and they are rather expensive wheels. I only really need the frame right now. I would transfer all my Ultegra components from my current Cervelo (or borrow from the Leader since they are newer) over to it. (The mango Cervelo has a slight bend in one of the dropouts). 650s.
What do you think?

Step 1. Ignore wife's comments suggesting you don't buy P3
Step 2. Buy P3
Step 3. Due to step 1, you may temporarily have to sleep on the couch, but at least you'll have a P3 to cuddle with

Hetti, it is cool you'll be around for Canada Day. We're looking forward to seeing you. I'm in San Francisco right now. A lot of great bike places up near Stanford. Wish I had time to bring my bike and go for a ride. I found a really cool store too, it put Dornella's to shame, which I personally don't think is easy to do.
BTW, I visited Google to give a talk, it looks like it would be a really cool place to work. I hope they continue to do well. Ok, well off to catch the red-eye home.

Final though, in a kind of weird cosmic Karma the starbucks I'm writing this all from is outside of a very large Ikea in SF. It looks just like the one in Australia too, except like the one in Toronto, it's in focus too. I guess only the ones in Australia are out of focus.
We'll I'm off to go shopping at said Ikea, since the closest one to Bloomington is in Chicago, this might be the last chance to go in quite some time.
Of course, I guess we could visit the TO one when we're there.

BUY THE P3!
BUY THE P3!
BUY THE P3!
Maybe Lynnie might get mad, but at least you'll have a p3. Who can hate a p3?
Spread the love.

correction to step 1. wife said go ahead and buy P3 for $3500 aud; lynn just gets a p2k with new components (if they make it small enough for lynn)
correction to step 3. lynn is actually the one already sleeping on the couch because the mattress mark picked up from the curbside is causing her back injuries to resurface.
lynn's blog has several entries ready to go but for some reason can't get mark to buckle down and help her get pics posted. someone wants to hog the show.

Suggested new approach to the bike and couch sleeping issue.
Step 1 - Find a better mattress. This may mean travelling to the "better" neighbourhoods in Melbourne to find "better" mattress left at curbside. Alternative option is to actually purchase a mattress from a local retailer.
Step 2 - Enjoy a better night's sleep. Actually be well rested enough to enjoying cycling on P3 or P2K bicycle.
Step 3 - Purchase P3 and P2K bicycles in order to have matching bicycles for husband and wife.

You know the guy who wrote "It's not about the bike" has had pretty damn good bikes for the last few years, so of course it's not about the bike for him...

That deal is a "no-go" deal! It's as rigged as a Chinese Comnmie state business enterprise!
1) I have to go Melbourne;
2) The frame probably won't fit me; and
3) it's O R A N G E.
Anyway, I'll be in Melbourne in 06. wheeeeeeeeeee
